Adeeba Kamarulzaman
Adeeba Kamarulzaman is presently a Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. She is also the Director of a newly established HIV research centre at the University of Malaya - CERiA. From 2006 to 2010 she was the President of the Malaysian AIDS Council where she was involved in overseeing the implementation of HIV prevention, treatment and care programmes for marginalized communities including harm reduction programmes for injecting drug users.

Dr Kamarulzaman serves on several regional and international committees and was the Scientific Co-chair of the XVIIIth International AIDS Conference and a Guest Editor of the Lancet Special Series on HIV in People Who Use Drugs in 2010.
